3rd Clue: Scotty can't find an engine room, so, there may as well have no engine rooms on the Enterprise. (even another unabashed plug for my thread, "Engine Room(s) on the TOS Enterprise (revisited)")
No Doomsday, yet. Here's a summary and a new clue 4:
1st Clue: High Speed? (an unabashed plug for my thread, "Moving Slow at Warp Speed") 2nd Clue: Is that two clones I see with my lying eyes? (another unabashed plug for my other thread, "Cloning for Colonization?") 3rd Clue: Scotty can't find an engine room, so, there may as well have no engine rooms on the Enterprise. (even another unabashed plug for my thread, "Engine Room(s) on the TOS Enterprise (revisited)") 4th Clue: SPF 1,000,000 Sunscreen, please.
Operation--Annihilate!
1st Clue: High Speed? Enterprise dives in the sun at warp 8, but it takes more time than it should if they were going hundreds times the speed of light (blssdwlf calculated in his warp chart that the Enterprise was going less than 5 c at warp 8). Warp 8 must not be as fast as you think, or is the slow speed due to a disfavorable Cochrane factor? 2nd Clue: Is that two clones I see with my lying eyes? Kirk's dead brother on the floor, George Samuel “Sam” Kirk, is played by William Shatner in a mustache! Peter Kirk is played by the same kid as Tommy Starnes from And The Children Shall Lead. Are they clones? "Eyes" is also a sub-clue in which Spock gets blinded later on. 3rd Clue: Scotty can't find an engine room, so, there may as well have no engine rooms on the Enterprise. The Engine Room never makes an appearance in the episode. Scotty spends most of his time in the Transporter Room for some reason. 4th Clue: SPF 1,000,000 Sunscreen, please. To kill the infection of brain cell critters, you either need to get real close to the sun, or get zapped by 210 UV light emitting satellites. They may not go blind (maybe cataracts later), but I expect lots of sunburn cases since it is the UV light spectrum that causes sunburns.
