No. That was filmed totally in studio, not on location.
Next clue...the bad guys are 2 different aliens types.

I like the uniform number.
But the scenes in the hills were filmed at Vasquez Rocks. Did you have different scenes in mind? Perhaps those in the tents? Just curious as FC is one of my favorite episodes.

No. East of LA was a hint. The first part was shot in studio. The later parts were on location. That was the beginning clue.

Good guess, but Sylvia threatens Kirk with a phaser near the end and IIRC Kirk (bizarrely, but coolly as usual) is suddenly holding one after he shatters the wand and the illusions disappear.

No. I believe they found the phasers. And certainly if they hadn't, there would have been much more than the casual discussion at the end about Bones leaving his communicator in Bela's office. Another good guess.
I'm thinking Errand of Mercy perhaps?
ANOTHER good guess, but no. Kirk demands that the Organians give the phasers back and the Organians finally yield. Kirk and Spock then use them to attack the Klingon-occupied citadel.
