Name That SCENE

Not a scene from The Cloud Minders.

Clue 3: A character reluctantly gives up something very old and dear to a villain.

"Patterns of Force", an unusual choice of story with unusual themes that just can't be rationalized no matter how much the script tried (though for the usual prospect of cutting corners on costs), had a big building swathed in swaztikas, one I don't recall seen used in any other episode despite being that beautiful bland beige in amongst a field of big bland beige buildings*, in a scene that can be deemed 'filler' since any ol' knock-knock-bonk scene can be done anywhere and just use exposition to say the legged it successfully without any need for any more establishment shots as needed... so, yeah, the one big bad building of its size and dimensions was unique. And didn't it rock those awnings? :D

* basking by beautiful Burbank?

A good guess, but not this particular scene, although:

Clue # 7
The character in question is one of the pointy-eared kind.

Spock goes off in meditation before battle while Kirk and McCoy discussing whether Spock can take his opponent in front of T'Pa.
1. Vulcan marriage rites, mating, etc.
2. On Vulcan.
3. Lull before the fight.
4. A conversation between Kirk and McCoy.
5. Spock off in meditation before the fight.
6. Yep, that too.
7. T'Pau.
8. T'Pau is in her chair-o-transport.
