Yeah, a hint would be nice. From the image alone, what I can tell is that this is a non-3D accelerated game, most likely from the mid-to-late '90s, and probably involves shooting things (the green things at the upper left look like cannons.)

Hey, nice guess. I have no idea if you're right or not, but it certainly has that C&C feel to it.

^I have all the games except for the latest one, though I haven't played all the way through them. I thought that something looked familiar about the appearance of the graphics, and when he said that it has a sequel from a different genre, I remembered that C&C had Renegade, an FPS. I haven't a clue if I'm right, but it seemed like a safe guess.
