Name that Game

this one should be a bit tricky

This one might be a bit on the difficult side, but there's enough in the screenshot that you can always resort to google if you're desperate. I think that's a good compromise.

Oh, it's definitely not Joe & Mac. I named the image that hoping someone would take the bait, but alas ...

Hah. I didn't even look up the title of the image.

I feel bad...I kind of cheated.

Prehistorik Man

Looks like Jungle Hunt. Way too pretty to be the Atari 2600 version I'm used to... maybe an arcade version?

I don't recall the rules ever stipulating if you have to name the correct version; yes, that is Jungle Hunt. Or one of it's many variations.

The one I'm used to is where your player character is a Tarzan knockoff, and even has the Tarzan yell when you start the game. This was of course changed to having you play as an explorer when the copyright holders of Tarzan threatened legal action.

I think you'd only have to say the right version if there's significant differences between the two. For example, the Aladdin game on the SNES is completely different from the Genesis version. If it's just a port, it shouldn't matter.

Yeah, it doesn't matter. That's the name I put into the search to find a picture of it. So that's the correct answer.

Incidentally, the game had a different title when it was using the Tarzan motiff, 'Jungle King.'
