Name that Game

It wouldn't have made sense for you to post a new game in the second pic, so I figured people were premature with the next turn. But I still have no clue.

EDIT: itisnotlogical, the key is the little person in both the first and second images, who I assume is the main character.

Um... no fair, much? Both of them were pretty indistinguishable from the originals.

Really? I don't remember a little guy at the bottom of the screen in any Tetris game I've ever played. I haven't played a Metroid game without Samus in it either.

I'll post something a little more specific to the game in question though.

I never even noticed the little guy in the photos. Perhaps if the resolution was bigger it would be more obvious. It's kind of a bait-and-switch tactic. I assumed the screenshot was of Metroid after Samus had died, since it was the final boss and I died there several times cause of that damn lava.

Edit: Son of a bitch. I missed the little guy AGAIN. He's just too small, Kelthaz. Even if I knew it I'd be pissed off by these screenshots and the fact he's just being inserted into other games which defeats the purpose of this game entirely.

Yeah, this one didn't exactly work out as I had planned. I overestimated I Wanna Be The Guy's popularity, so I decided to post an obscure screenshot for what I thought was a very popular game. I wanted people to have to think about the game "Hey, that's Tetris! No, wait, what's that thing in the bottom of the screen? And why is there a passage in the top right of the screen?" rather than just instantly know the game if they've ever played it. It was a failed experiment.

You can say that again. Remember that episode of Goosebumps with the cursed camera that predicted bad things and had a small picture of a gremlin in each one, which could only be seen under a magnifying glass?

It's like that. Sure, in 10 years we might have noticed that guy... until then, it's Tetris, Metroid, and Megaman.

I am starting to have a hard time thinking of games I played that are obscure, but not too obscure. Hopefully this one is not in the latter category:
