Trying to catch up to the ship, first appearance of Casey Biggs as the Cardassian who was accused of breaking into their systems. Different title could refer to Dukat's actor also doing it. Not sure what the two first clues would refer to. But makes more sense than other episodes not already tried.

YES! "Future Imperfect" is indeed the answer. To explain...

1. A large chasm... a 16 year gap in his head, as Riker puts it.

2. Atypically unfunny... a Ferengi makes an appearance that is not the usual comic relief, though most of those times are unintentional.

3. A different title... Tomalak is called ambassador instead of Commander.

4. A new scratch... Worf has a scar on his face.

5. Immunity would have been useful... Geordi and Worf were both immune to that 'virus'.

6. Nameless, but familiar... Nurse Ogawa makes her first appearance in this episode. She didn't have a name at this time.

7. First appearance of the nameless, but later named... Ogawa's first appearance, had no name here.

8. Trying to catch up... the computer on the 'Enterprise' has a lag time every time Riker veered from an expected routine.

9. Fake gray... the fake gray that Riker had was taken out by the Romulan device.

I think other than the first clue, the clues were fine. Using a 'chasm' for Riker's memory issues was a bit of a stretch, and leads down a lot of wrong tracks. The rest made perfect sense once explained.

Chasm was another way of saying gap. If I put gap down, someone likely would gave gotten it on the first clue.

Well, it took 9 clues... people usually guess mine by about the 4th or 5th, at most.

20 just seems unreasonable... I'm not sure it would remain being fun by that point.

There are other words for it though which are both not obviously about memory but could also be more reasonably used to describe a gap in memory, like “Hole”.

It’s a hard balance to find to both not be obvious but also make sure the clues point to your episode specifically without roundabout verbal gymnastics.
