Nacelle Star Trek action figures

Brian is still saying that wave 1 will be shipped before Christmas. But I think that'll probably slip to early 2026. Makes sense that wave 2 will be released maybe in the spring or summer, and then wave 3 in the last quarter of the anniversary year.

The listing for the wave 1 figures on Amazon have a delivery date of January 2026. If thats the case I’d be surprised (pleasantly) if we get both wave 2 and 3 next year.

I think it’s more likely we get wave 1 in January, wave 2 in Q3 as advertised and waves 3/4 in 2027.

However, every effort should be made to get Wave 3 out next year, as pointed out it’s the 60th anniversary year and the wave is the TOS crew.

Ah yeah, I didn't realise Wave 2 was announced for Q3. The TOS wave will definitely be 2027 then.

I was tempted to get Weyoun in wave 1, but passed on it. I'm probably going get Nog out of Wave 2 though!

Let's maybe get at least one completed action figure in hand before getting ahead of ourselves.

Master Replicas re-releasing the old Art Asylum/Diamond Select TOS phaser and communicator suggests they might be able to do the ships too.

I'd love it if MR could sell the Enterprise-C that DST was on the verge of releasing just as their license ran out.

I think with Paramount the question is usually "who doesn't have a licence?" - probably to the detriment of their licensors.
Licensing is often split along specific categories so action figures are distinct from ships, are distinct from roleplay, are distinct from prop replica.

Even if Nacelle has a license for action figures it doesn't mean they can branch out.

I don't think it was the licence running out as such, they had years to get it and the Reliant done. Felt more like they scrapped it and then lost the licence. But who knows?

I’d rather they focus on figures and let others take care of ships and role playing gear. Maybe if DST had done that they would have been able to do Voyager and some of the others like the S1-3 Sisko/Dukat 2-pack, Chapel, Rand and Medical tunic Bones that they advertised/announced and never released.

I pre-ordered Archer, Garrett, Weyoun and Jellico from wave 1 and Kirk, T-Pol and Nog from wave 2. Very much on the fence about the holodeck sailing figures.

I must say I find it to be a bit of a dubious business practice to make a second wave available, let alone talking about a third and fourth (!) wave, and not make sure people even have the first one in hand, having a chance to assess its quality. I personally wasn’t aware of Nacelle before they put out these figures; I take it they are reputable people? Some of the extra elements they plan to pack these figures with have me wonder if they’ll actually be able to produce them the way they look in these renderings. I don’t suppose any of the figures from the first wave have ever been spotted in their actual packaging with all accessories inside, correct?

That said, if the Tuvix figure I ordered from the first wave turns out to look as good as promised, I will definitely look into ordering Nog, T’Pol and “Year of Hell”-Janeway as well. :)

That's something I dislike about pre-orders as well. It's sometimes the only way to get something at all, or at least at a reasonable price, but I've certainly seen things turn out differently than promised.

That being said, I had seen some pretty good reviews on their earlier products when I was initially researching the company. So hopefully these are good!
