On the contrary! It's when people question their conclusions that we get revisit episodes, which are always fun. Besides, their willingness to question and revise their own conclusions in the light of new evidence is admirable; not only is it in the spirit of science, but it's a good example to follow in every walk of life.
The Russians would have been the first people to point out fakery, they watched every step of the program they could, including telemetry from the missions while they were happening.
Then again, idiots like Bart Sibrel also think the USSR didn't have the capability of doing so, even though we know for certain they could have as early as 1962.
I have no idea how people are so easily able to dismiss reality and facts and historic record in order to support their positions.
Some people will go to extraordinary lengths to avoid admitting they were wrong about anything. Some people are simply incapable of contemplating the possibility that they could be wrong about anything. If the facts conflict with their assumptions, they conclude it's the facts that are in error.
