This begs the question of who now owns the Mythbusters brand? Looks like its gone to The Science Channel, which is a pity because I was hoping Adam could still bust some small myths on his youtube channel.

And Discovery Communications owns The Science Channel, which is why TSC could air the show's reruns. So the franchise hasn't changed owners or distributors, it's just been moved to a different outlet.

Well, from what the press releases say, it's The Science Channel that's initiated the project. But I assume they've commissioned Beyond to make it for them.
