Mystery spiral above Norway most likely failed rocket launch

Even if it is as simple to explain as a malfunctioning rocket test, it is still rather off putting, if you ask me.
In an Elitist Social Darwinist kind of way. :shifty:

As for me, I don't even mess with those amateur, tinfoil hats. I use a metal colander. Safety first!

I don't really believe anybody claiming it's a UFO, aliens, a wormhole, but it doesn't look like a failed rocket-launch to me. Could be some kind of atmospheric phenomena, but I'll be honest, I don't know what the hell it is.

Here's a thought: if it's a rocket, who's launching them, and why?

Enquiring minds and all that.

I was going to say, Ice Queen, that if I created that in a computer, people would jump down my throat and call it fake looking. But according to the YouTube page for that video, that's exactly what it is ... a simulation of the event over Norway.

I have seen pictures of Russian launches before, and they are erratic looking.

It is pretty neat that this made such a perfect figure; I'd be interested in how it did that.

Oops: just saw the post above me. Nice graphic.

It was an expermental Russian SLBM launched from a Delta class sub..

Sometimes the Pneumatic launch system can force the guidance gyros in the missile into a "Gimbal Lock" situtation, this forces the gimbal mounted rocket nozzle to fire in a spiral pattern, coupled with fuel leak, the pattern (lit from below the horizion) actually shows rather clear..

Thanks, goldbug. Well, that certainly was a huge waste of time, effort and resources for them.

Um, I grew up next to a rocket launching site and never saw anything remotely like that. I've seen weird things, to be sure, but perfect, spinning spirals? No.

You've seen a lot multi-stage rocket tests fail in the upper atmosphere in the middle of the night?

Apparently, even the fail-safe shutdowns on the rocket didn't work, as apparently when something like this fails its thrust is terminated.

I wouldn't say I've seen a LOT, but I've certainly seen a few (multi-stage rocket failures, I mean -- I don't know/remember where in the atmosphere they were). Sometimes they did make spirals, but not PERFECT, HUGE spirals.

"what are we gonna do tonight Brain?"

"Well Pinky, I have discovered a way to use the plume from a missile to create a hypnotic spiral. With it, we will hypnotize and gain control of Norway. Once in control of Norway, I will use their votes in the European Union to have myself elected Prime Minister or president of the EU, what ever they are calling it this week. Once head of the EU, I shall use it's influence to gain control the United Nations and use it's powers to force other countries to do my bidding. I will have taken over the world!!"

"Right Brain, only one problem with that. No one pays attention to the United Nation's demands."

Sorry, you're going to fail with that one -- Norway isn't a member of the EU.

Amazing stuff.

It's pretty much been confirmed as a failed Russian missile launch:

Perhaps knowing what really happened might give people who scream "aliens" when they see lights in the sky some perspective - there's plenty of interesting things going on in the skies of Earth, quite a number of which we can't explain, without invoking little green men.

Yes, just like the Roswell incident has been 'confirmed' as a downed weather balloon.

The military can make anything sound plausible. I'm not saying Roswell was in fact a UFO, and I'm also not saying that these lights weren't caused by a missile (although I find it hard to believe). I'm just saying that we shouldn't believe everything coming from the military, or scientists, or the media as fact.

I am also not a conspiracy theorist. LOL ;)

I Am Santa,

Eh, what's project blue-beam?

Oh God. I got through the rest of the thread thinking "hey, nobody took the bait this time. Good for them." So yeah. :wah:

In a nutshell, it's more of his conspiracy-theory enthusiasm, focused this time on holographic mind-control via a simulation of the Second Coming of Christ as faked by some shadowy New World Order (or something to that effect). It's been thoroughly explained in a couple of threads in TNZ, if you want to look there.

I Am Santa,

Eh, what's project blue-beam?

A sort of black project which utilises advanced holographic technology to create realistic holograms in the sky that can take any shape or form. It's not the same as shooting laser beams at clouds, it works in a similar fashion to how the Aurora Borealis is created.

Are you talking about something like HAARP?
