My Warped Canadian Santa....

But no way on God's Earth would any self respecting man were red fur, especially bright red fur!

Well, I'm not so sure about that...

You sure there ain't any latent self loathing there, buddy?

Wonderful outfit :) I bet the kiddies loved it!
I'd say the approval rate was in the 99% range based on the remarks and reactions I got. The beard is a killer in that many remarked they found it far more believable than what most shopping mall style Santas wear. It was the next best thing to a real beard in that it was shaped to my own face and moved a bit when I moved my mouth and cheeks. I think the fact that you could also see my lips also helped.

And with the baby powder held with a bit of hair spray on my eyebrows hardly anyone recognized me in costume.

Hell, no. I love my red suits. After so many years of playing Santa, I've long since realized that you gotta play it a little over the top, a little like a clown, in order to really get hold of the kids' imaginations. Not just a big, loud, "Ho Ho Ho," mind you. That will just scare off the timid. Santa has to have a touch of the kindly, old, grandfatherly megalomaniac about him, or it's just another day at the mall. And that suit -- the more like a red Pagliacci, the better.

At least for most of the kids I see. :techman:
