My Trek Through Enterprise

Re: My Trek Through Enterprise: Season One

T’Pol: I haven’t made up my mind yet. I don’t think I’ve seen enough.

Which first episode did you watch, exactly? In the one I watched if I had seen any more of Tpol it wouldn't be allowed to broadcast in the US.

I would definitely want to see a more "adult" take on Trek. Not necessarily the sex (although that is kinda nice). Just, more risk-taking. More thumbing of noses at network brass. More in-depth storytelling.

And tribble slash.

@Magarity I'm not sure what you mean. I saw the first part of Broken Bow first.

Okay, so,
GreenGirlz_zps6632c500.gif
dance video, check. Dubious green fellow that, for some reason, vaguely reminds me of Jabba the Hut, check. Men tripping over themselves, and more sweaty men in the weight room trying to forget, check. Tipsy doctor falling down and out of his cycle, check. Every other woman on the ship suddenly has a "headache," check. The captain forgets himself, followed by a "walk of shame" onto the bridge, shirt still open, after his "weakness" was, I'm sure, thoroughly exploited, check. Hmm. Must mean Orions! Lol. :p

I totally love the fact that T'Pol and Trip being bound together gives Trip immunity. Ha! Take that, Green Girlz! It's also interesting to find out that the women are in control and the men are their slaves. Weird. I do wonder why T'Pol didn't just shoot them all with her phaser set to stun as soon as they entered the bridge. Then they could have been taken to the decon chamber with women as the guards. I think that should have been the case the first time around. At least Trip came along. This episode started out kind of shaky, but it got a lot better as it went on. The ending was interesting...

Well, I thought DS9 did that pretty well, and they did have a tribble episode. :)

Okay, somebody lied about their appearance. Not a good sign. I hope he doesn't double cross them. And a few days? It's not going to take that long; he just wants to spend time with Hoshi. I'm surprised that no one was suspicious of the timeframe. Archer shouldn't leave her alone with him. I started to give him a gold star for

when he had her stay with Phlox in sick bay

, but leaving her alone with a possible weirdo makes me have to take it back

. At least one security guard should have been left behind, no ifs, ands, or buts.

I feel sorry for his story but he seriously gives off a Mr. McCreepy vibe. Aaand the truth comes out. He wants her to be his companion. And "came to appreciate," sounds like his previous companions were unwilling at the start. Hmm. Hoshi should have played coy until her people came back because there's one thing that will surely set off a desperately lonely weird guy--"No!"

Well at least he was half-way decent in the end. Creepy, but still somewhat decent.

Mr. j and I rewatched this one last night. Yeah, man oh man. And, except for teasing the audience, what was Hoshi doing in little shorty-short dresses? Tease much? Hello?!??!!

^ The nighty did make me wonder...

I like this theme music better. So this is the mirror version of everyone. What is with T'Pol's outfit? Looks like Porthos ran into some issues. Oh, well Hoshi is just as badly dressed. I should have known from the lingerie... I have a hard time believing that they made Vulcans their slaves.

In A Mirror Darkly, Part II

I didn't say anything last time, but does anyone else see these MU episodes, and this one in particular, as a little spoofy? Campy might be a better word. I think I laughed a couple of times when maybe I wasn't supposed to. Hopefully this is the last of the mirror episodes. :-/

Kira wasn't a lesbian. I think she was bi there, but she was still a bit campy.

And camp is the only way I can live with Sisko screwing Mirror Jadzia.

I thought that worked for a mirror universe, kind of like Uhura being with Kirk as described in the new comics' mirror universe. Regular Worf and Jadzia were best, though. :luvlove:

He had to "pretend" to be the real mirror Sisko. I don't know if they really had sex. I'd have to watch that episode again. It's been a while.

If it sounded like they were having sex, how do you know they didn't "pretend" to sound like they were having sex? He couldn't "pretend to have a a headache" because that wasn't like mirror Sisko.

The way the scene ended, the implication was that Sisko and Mirror Jadzia did the deed.

Can't say I blame him. :shifty:
