My thoughts on Voyager and Trek Verse

Bearing in mind I haven't read the books yet. The end of the series leaves a lot for interpretation, and I'm all for some plot twists haha.

I always talk up the books. Seven has a lot of interesting things going on.

The first few vary between so-so and pretty poor. Once Kirsten Beyer takes over, they're great !

My thoughts about Voyager are: It is my favorite of all the Treks. That being said, I agree with all the faults it had that I have read in various posts on this board. However, Voyager had a sense of family that drew me in. I just didn't feel that with the other shows except maybe the original series.

I love Voyager, especially season 1-7!

I actually like the difference in the Kes vs Voyager years.

I also grew to like DS9 after initially giving up in season 1. I started back in mid season 3 when Voyager started and really liked it when Worf (from TNG) joined DS9 in season 4.

If you like character arcs, you'll come to love DS9.

I slavishly watched every episode of VOY when I was a teenager. Seeing Seven of Nine on TV was the highlight of my week.

But now VOY and ENT are the Trek series that I care for the least. I watched a small handful of VOY season 1 and 2 episodes recently, and that was enough to last me several years without having to watch any more.

I feel the same way about TNG. Not that I hate it...I can just go a long time without watching it again.
