I know it's been a while since I posted any new shots...well it's because I'm taking a break for a bit. Was overworking myself with the project...every bit of spare time I had was going towards it. Taking a month or two off to get myself in the swing of only working on it moderately, instead of all the time.
Sorry guys! Hopefully I'll get some more work done soon
Here's a thought, I notice you put ceilings with light fixtures in your mod, so how about air vents, loudspeakers, sprinklers, etc. Or would this be just to much trouble?
Well I guess I could just do it as textures. Loudspeakers I don't think would be needed much...I have plenty of intercom panels placed throughout the decks so I figure those would function as such. Although they are small intercom speakers, I'm sure Bose would improve their technology further by the 23rd century to where those tiny blue speakerboxes would be plenty loud .
A fire suppression system I figure would need a simple vent-like texture, as would the air vents.
So yes, I guess it's possible. Whether or not I will include this will depend on how much longer building the essential areas will take.
However, how do we know that all those random knick-knacks on the walls of the Enterprise interior aren't part of these systems?
We're called Red Static (used to be The Rocket Surgeons, explaining the myspace url). I write songs, play rhythm and lead guitar and sing. 3 piece.
I've only got 3 pre-mastered songs up on the page right now, as we are finishing up our first CD this week. After Friday I send off the get copies made so I can distribute them. Hopefully it will be for sale on iTunes, Rhapsody, and the like in about 2 months.
Donny,
A couple questions:
1) Your myspace page is down - is there a new one?
2) How is work going on the mod? I miss seeing updates. Any chance of releasing the mod?
Larry
The only thing that's a little odd in some (not all) of these images is that some rooms (Sickbay, for instance) doesn't seem to have any illumination. The room seems illuminated, but from what source?
Would love to see what you do with Auxiliary Control and the corridor junction where we see a vertical ladder tube.
No new work on the mod in months. To be honest, I got exhausted with it. Plus I've had tons of drama come about in recent months...still kind of recovering.
I'm bound to pick it back up one day.
Wingsley: Some shots were taken before I added illumination sources.
Paramount should hire you and a programmer and make this into a computer program where fans can make their own episodes. Recording the characters and their movements on the program in your "sets," alongside their own soundtracks (or alternatively make enough sound clips available an audio track could be part of the program). Be fun to really see the fans'/authors' stories as they "saw" them when writing them. We could sort of get Trek back on a wider scale than the long drawn out process for the current live action fan productions.
