Plaques for Data, Q, Spock, Worf, Odo, Deanna, Jadzia Dax, Geordi, Quark, Garak...
They go around along the bottom of the room. These are the characters my son chose. I told him he would be disappointed later if he didn't take 7 of 9 but he isn't quite ready yet to admit that he likes girls. ;)

Fantastic paint job! Thematic silhouettes against an ombre but with a rectangular foreground shape? Fantastic color palettes for the lot of them! :luvlove: I read up on ombre but I've got the dexterity of porcupine roadkill. Which is good for every car tire on the road... apart from that one that drunkie ran over but nobody's perfect...

I would like to have such a bedroom. It's incredibly cosmic.

SPACE: the door is done. Oil on wood. Self imposed quarantine, but happy I can still paint. Much more painting to do to get this Star Trek themed bedroom finished.

Ok, technically it isn't exactly done. When dry I will put an ultramarine/white glaze in order to imply the lights along the sides and ceiling in the jefferies tube. Subtly. Then on to finishing the various ships. Will post when I finish the bird of prey, warbird, Defiant and the space station.

That Jeffries tube looks like you could crawl into it .

Glad you have something to keep you occupied whilst you're stuck indoors :)

Your son has an awesome (and awesomely talented) mom!

Will there be any panels with blinking lights? Those wall plates next to the door are screaming for "Trek-i-fication".

Thank you. I love trompe l'æoil. There will be more of it in the rest of the room.

No blinking lights, too jarring for a bedroom. There will be black light areas though, including here on the jefferies tube. The trim is painted in the style of the Star Trek font, and took me only 8 days! My daughters bedroom, done in Raphael renaissance style, took 30 days to do just the trim. So some things are going faster this time around. Other things like the space station and borg cube, are going much slower.

I will post again when some of the ships are done.

I hope your kids know just how awesome it is for you to be their Mom! :techman::techman::techman::techman::techman:
Hey, we love WIP photos here in this forum. I for one am just as interested in HOW you do what you are doing as I am in the AMAZING final product (like the door above.)

I don't know if it's Mothers Day where you are (it is in the UK), but your children should have pampered today anyway. Amazing work!:cool::cool::cool:

Plenty of time in quarantine to keep working. The ceiling is finished. Oils over acrylic painted fiberglass over plaster.

This is turning out really great, @AllisonR! All those tiny dots of light on Spacedock One must have taken quite some time and patience. Well, it's definitely worth it. Thanks for sharing! :bolian:
