My son and anime

Sad thing is, and this is true, the only reason she wants me to have kids is so that I can see how hard it is and why having kids ruined her life.

Funny you should say that. My mum has also thrown something similar at me in the past, her words were more in the vein of: "don't expect to drop your kids off at mine when you have them, because I would love to say I'm too busy, like you say to me."

I guess she had her hands full with two young children later in life. I helped as much as could, but I could never be a second mother, those kids had a father too, as well as a live in aunt, we all chipped in. I took it as a moment of irritation on her part, rather than a heartfelt sentiment.

I guess I'm having the last laugh now, as she'll never have the satisfaction of saying that since I have no intention of having children. I am not suited to being a full-time mother. Children are best at irregular and small doses, at least until they're old enough to dust. :p

You sound like such a cool mother, Miss Chicken! :D
By your comment, I imagine you're not yet 26 years old. I doubt most people of that age who still live (or rent a room) at home wouldn't mind if their mother had access to their room...

Actually I'm nearly 30 and live in a different country to my parents. ;)

I meant that having a parent that you could be so open with about things like sex and stuff must be pretty cool.

I feel exactly the same way. Small kids are cute for about ten minutes but then I just want them to go away.

Oh, you meant it like that! I misinterpreted, my apologies. :D

About the only time I enter my son's room is to make sure his window is closed before I go out or when I am checking to make sure the cat hasn't been accidently shut in.
