Excellent! :techman:

Does the screen work in any way? Can you watch videos or something?

Thanks! This first one is static and non-functioning -- just like the original props. I did add magnets to hold the doors open/closed, but otherwise it's made of the same stuff as the originals.

I'm thoroughly impressed. :techman:

I'm sure you've researched this and that your model is accurate, but I didn't know that the back of the strap was untreated leather.

Thanks! Season 1 -- untreated leather. Here's a shot from The Man Trap:

And near and dear to your own heart, one from Balance of Terror:

Like I'm sure many of you, I save images I find in this forum. I was so impressed with deck5's scratchbuilt tricorder, I took five of the six pictures he posted of it and put them together in a wallpaper. Here it is if you'd like to have it, too. The link is for the full scale version. Posted below is a much smaller one.

i just hope you make more so i can put my name to one, my collection is so tame and this would be the forfront of my collection, thank you so much for your hard work, it just goes to show some people have the genius to make tricorders how they should be made!!!!

Welcome to the board, @pete roberts! It‘s bad form at the Trek BBS to resurrect dormant threads, let alone ones that are a decade old. The original poster is no longer active and won‘t likely see new posts, which is why I‘m going ahead and close this thread now.
