My projects.

I think it has been logged that I said that I was actually a first generation interactive AI program, about a year ago.

You might be better off looking for constructive criticism in the Fan Fiction forum. However, you would need to disclose more of your ideas and sample extracts from your work than merely offering up vague generalities. That's the only way you'll pass the Turing test.

You know...as I was reading your second sentence, I thought about Memento too!

Watch this guy doing random shit and having vague conversations for 2 hours and then guess what he does for a living. A mystery! Awesome!

I'm sure Nolan could make it work.:guffaw: Starring Johnny Depp.

Twenty Questions: The Movie. :bolian:

That's it, you see what a room full of Star Trek nerds can accomplish based on a vague paragraph. Just think if we had a council at the white house or something, we could sit and solve world problems. I can see it now, " Mr. President Iran has just tested their first nuclear weapon, what should we do?" " Let the Picard sector handle it, they are good with diplomacy." " Mr. President, there's a cancer epidemic spreading across the country, what should we do?" " Let the Bones sector handle it, they are good with medical issues." "Mr. President what about global warming?" "Let the Data and Spock sector handle it, they are good with science." We'd be like the A Team of problem solving.

I've found all I need to know, here. I lack empathy. Hardly surprising, the way I've been treated in life. That's why you think, and I sometimes think, I'm a computer. That's why I have difficulty writing a full story about people.

It could be, that I will run out of ideas, and in 15 years time, will be sat in a bar, waving a piece of paper around, when a film comes on, and saying: 'I thought of that'. That's not going to happen.

I sometimes wonder if I'm a really bad person, cos I'm not doing this, getting the money and raising kids out of it.

It's infuriating to have someone say,'Thanks for all your input. By the way, you're an idiot, but stay around, cos you're a useful idiot and we like laughing at you.'

All I can do is get everything done, to a professional standard, send them off, do all the right things in the right order, push people, as much as possible, even more, and force people to acknowledge me. And if I get rejected or trumped, take the risk. I have plenty of cups in my cupboard and you can buy three for £2. Smashing them all will feel good. It may be my ideas are crap.

I can think of some more.

Well, you did say you had "difficulty writing a full story about people," which isn't exactly a sign of a creative dynamo. And your writing on here makes it hard to see what your ideas are.

I'll tell you what. Post one of your stories in the fan fiction section, and I will give it a fair reading and let you know what works and what doesn't.

I don't have difficulty thinking of things, story hooks, concepts, that affect humanity as a whole. Stories are more difficult. It's hard, and you might not even get one drunk clapping. They might not even recognise you. Someone might take umbrage, too.

I might consider working with someone and taking this route here, at some point, it's worth it. I've registered all my ideas and I might be able to sell the bottom 200 for a few bucks if I get the top three sold.

CJ -- I think you should concentrate on your strengths. Perhaps you should follow your suggestion from another thread about studying Physics or some similar mathematically oriented discipline. If you haven't developed empathy for and understanding of the human condition by your age (30+ or thereabouts?), I think you would struggle long and hard, and probably never make it as a writer.

I won a national poetry competition when I was 15. I had a poem published last year, and it wasn't about the beauty of the mechanism of photosynthesis. I've been subjected to jealousy of a great, unreasonable, degree since I could first speak, and it causes me to withdraw and provoke.

No, I'm going to do this. Cos, I'm not the only one.

I, for one, would be interested in reading either your award-winning poem or the one you had published. Do you see now what the problem is?

Can you please share with us the system you use for "registering" your ideas, and how ideas that you haven't executed can make you money?

Well, as, I, Don't, seem, to,. communicate-with-you-very-well-I-obviously, don't know how to go about such a thing, do I?

Actually, some suggestions here have been good, and I will chase them up.

I don't think I'm going to get anywhere trying to be Spock. It hasn't worked for 36 years, apart from keeping me alive and giving me qualifications. People think I'm arrogant, insensitive and cold. At least, a few I live with do, or try to make me look that way. I'm going to have to evolve a bit. But, I am a logical being.

I say we put it up to a vote. TrekBBS decides: who's more incomprehensible, the Turing Test aspiring writer, or the talking cheetah?

WTF is incomprehensible about talking about work situations, in general terms?

Work situations have existed since Assyrobabylonian times.

:wtf::eek:
