My Pre TOS ship Deckplans

I'm using Chrome. The watermarks aren't super obvious, but they are subtle and clear. I wouldn't mess with them.

Here are the latest couple of plans as are. they are not completed as you can see, but I thought I better post them as an update because I have not posted anything in several days. There is a lot of text that is just acting as placeholders for now.

And as always, downloadable higher res versions are available at http://admiraldanev.deviantart.com/

Please let me know what you think.

WOW! its is hard work fitting all those creww quarters (enough for 229 crew) into the Daedalus Class. I think Ive got it, but Ive got WAAAAY more than I wanted to put into the Secondary Hull. As it is, theres about 50% in Primary and 50% in Engineering.

Everyone but 11 officers so far... I reckon I'm going to assume this ship was originally designed to hold 100-150 comfortably (just a few more than NX Class) and that the remaining 79-129 are really cramped into cargo areas in the Engineering Section...

And as always, super large versions are view able on my Deviant Art page... http://admiraldanev.deviantart.com/

Let me know what you think thanks :)

Hi everyone. Just been trying to work out this Secondary Hull. Ive got something I'm getting reasonably happy with, but I'm a bit concerned that I may have my Impulse fusion Generators too close to my Torpedo launchers and Aft Armory's? What do you guys think? would you reckon it would be safe? There are additional Impulse engines above the tubes also (to account for those round holes in a circular style on the desktop model shown in DS9)

Have I missed something in regards to the Warp Plasma creation process?
(Antimatter & Deuterium Storage are on other decks)

Any suggestions? The lower levels are taken up by Hangar and Shuttle Storage (and more Impulse Engines of course.....)

Please lend me your opinions, I feel like I'm just posting and posting on here haha.

There is a fully downloadable version on my deviantart page as always... http://admiraldanev.deviantart.com/art/Daedalus-Deck-I-20160229-593803071?ga_submit_new=10%3A1456746100&ga_type=edit&ga_changes=1&ga_recent=1

Hey all, been back at my NX Alternative, had a grand idea to add a emergency separation line as indicated. This will be how the Engineering areas can be reworked or refitted easily.

What do you think of the "slice of pie" idea as shown?

Im thinking in a future version of this ship, this area will finish off the sauce with larger impulse engines, with a maybe a neck connection below leading to a separate Engineering Hull.

Interesting! Although I'm a bit intrigued by the shuttlecraft you're showing. Looks like you have a new shuttle that's an intermediate step between the NX's and the Galileo type?

Haha yeah you spotted that... Good eyes! I have been playing around with intermediate shuttle ideas, but I believe that one would be an almost direct predessor to the TOS shuttle, so I need to add a few more steps in between the NX shuttle and my other design. If the TOS shuttle is Class F, then my design would be Class D or Class E, meaning I need to work out A to C. What do you think of it?

I have an aversion to hot bunks. Given the choice, I'd rather go with open-bay barracks instead.

Oh sorry my mistake, I didn't realise Hot-bunking was sharing beds, I actually have enough beds for all 229 in barracks style arrangements.

Actually, my comment was directed at Bernard. But yes, hot-bunks are shared beds. On some (most??) modern Navy ships, there's not enough room to have one bed per person, even with bunk-beds (a twin-size bed stacked over another), so they have to schedule it so one crewman works while the other sleeps.

Ive put the Daedalus on hold for the moment and gone back onto my Endeavor, so I don't have to worry about fitting all those crew in for a while (I want to better arrange the bunks in the future)

Thanks :) as you can see, I've tried adding a TOSish style section to the rest of an NX engine room, although I'm thinking this may be the "warp 7 engines" introduced around 2160, so I may keep this as I've got it but call it an upgraded engine, and still do a previous "warp 5 engine" to better fit into ENT era.

Also, if you have a look at where the main deflector should be, I've gotten rid of the dish, and put 4 deflector beam generators there instead (as I've always thought the three large gooey bits on the Connie saucer leading edge were additional deflectors) so I've gone with that style in mind. A dish will be added to a refit.

Sooo umm I just finished watching a YouTube video on the Trek-yards page that had an interview with the Pacific 201 designer Eric Henry that was uploaded 2 days ago, and he was going over design elements from his ship, and he mentioned that his "Engineering Area" could slide out of the back of the ship for maintenance and replacement/upgrade. This is exactly what Ive been designing for both my ships on here, both the Endeavour and the Daedalus class. I based this on Doug Drexler's idea that the NX class could do something like this, and that was his reasoning too, just thought that was a cool coincidence.

Hey everyone, just a quick question, torpedo/missile tubes do not have to face directly forward or aft do they??
