My mom has passed

My mom passed away this morning, She had her 92 birthday Saturday, was totally unaware of it, but she did.

We will be heading to St. Louis Saturday and I've taken next week off from school....running out of days but what can I say.

Keep us in your thoughts as I may need all the help I can get to get through this, expected as it was and latter than it should have been.

Daughter and I are hoping that we can get out of 2010 soon and not have a repeat in 2011.

Thanks for being the supportive group that you have always been.

By the way, she was a Navy nurse in WWII so, mom... /**

My deepest condolences. My own mother is terminally ill so I relate to what you have been through. My mum was a nurse in the the army but that was after the War.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours..

As a fellow veteran, I salute your mother's memory..

So many WW2 veterans are passing away, and the world seems to be a lessor place as each passes on..

My sincerest condolences, and all my warm thoughts you and your family's way, ancientone. All my best, godspeed, and may she rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences for your loss.
I lost my mother almost 7 years ago and my dad in August 2009. You'll miss her for a long time and even after years pass, she'll pop into your head once in a while and you won't be able to help but be sad.

My mom worked for the Navy in WWII as well. I'm sorry for the pain you're feeling, ancientone, and I'm glad her suffering is over.

My sincerest condolences. I'm also out in Texas, btw.

I know this must be a very hard time for you. Please feel free to vent; we're all here for you.

I am so sorry to hear that, ancientone. I lost my own mother when I was 11 (she died of MS). So share your pain, and gain strength from the sharing, as Sybok might say...

My condolences, ancientone. My Mom passed away in June, so I know what you're going through. Hang in there, man.

Thanks to all. I do appreciate all the support. As I am in Texas and she was in St. Louis, I am doing what small bit I can. Have an Email in to Veteran's Affairs and will try to call them tomorrow. (We are on block schedule so I had no time today.)

She was an amazing woman, I don't know that ho she did all she did at home while raising three girls. I know I have never come close to her skills with a needle and thread, paint on walls, hammer and nails, and so much more. A very talented woman.

Thank you again for all your kind thoughts.
