Elmo - I wouldn't worry about messages not sticking. Those of us here who do these cities will augment your city every day.
You'll also gain new people who will have seen you posting in our cities.
I generally give new people a week and assume that they aren't getting my messages some of the time. If I never hear back from them, I cut them loose.
You can also tell that some people are now abandoning their cities.
You'll get the feel for it.

I tried to make all the rounds for everyone...is the rollover 6pm? Can I visit someone's city more than once, like once for pop, once for ind, once for env, etc?

One visit per day per IP address, so choose wisely. Some of us occasionally manage to squeeze in a second visit from work or someone else's system, but that's not a regular occurrence. The rollover time is midnight GMT, which I'm pretty sure is 6pm for you.

Alot of the comments didn't stick so the "Boner-Ohs Breakfast Cereal" and "Fiberglass Condom Factory" are forever lost due to a program glitch.

Elmo - Turnaround (is that a word??) time for you & I normally has been 6 but it now appears to 7 pm.

Different things fascinate different people. I started marking down people's population to see who was gaining abnormally. I have too many cities to do each day without helping out people who are 'cheating'. I am suspicious of cities with population growth of 350 a day but I've kept them on. Cities that are growing by about 700 or 800 a day...well, I know how they are doing it. There are a couple on our list and I won't visit them anymore.

I don't want to cheat, but how are they doing it? I used a link-swap to gain about a hundred or so but that got tedious because it was more or less automated. Click everything on the link wait 24 hours repeat.

This is much more fun because you get to chat and interact with the city owners. The other way reminded me too much of one of my jobs. *click* *click* *click*

Actually a bit of google-fu unlocked the mystery for me. I'm running a cheat program demo on a city in Latvia called Pringlefuck just to see how it works.

Doorknob will remain uncheated though.
