My Little Pony web invasion?

I still fail to see how the Bronies were goinig on "in an obsessive fashion in inappropriate places". Outside the designated posts a vast majority of them were relatively low-key as far as I could see. Have some of them used MLP threadbombs in unrelated threads? Sure, but threadbombs are used all the time even if the show/situation/whatever they were created from has nothing to do with the topic at hand. As long as the pic/caption fits, what's so bad about it depicting Ponies?

^ This.

One person posting 20 threadbombs does not equal 20 people posting 1 threadbomb. But the amount of consternation ("butthurt", in the lingo) it seems to have engendered would indicate otherwise.

And it's not continuing to happen. To characterize the postings as obsessive and 24/7 is disingenouous.

Yup, weirdier and ickier than anything in MLP so far by some margin. How that episode got made I don't know, much less why the actors agreed to it. I'd have never stopped showering for weeks after that.

"Vox Sola", do yourself a favour and don't google image search it

This is what happens when you only mate once every seven years.

The whole ship was hard and crusty for years after that episode. That's why the Xindi were able to practically blow it to bits.

^ I forget what they called it (probably something stupid like a Jismatometric Lifeform or Bukkakispatial Entity) but it basically grabbed crewpeople with its tendrils and used them like a group mind, I think.

[edit] And she deleted her post asking what the alien was.

Either that or it acted like a gum that kept the ship together for all those years.

Edit: yeah, its tendrils were filled with neurofibres that turned the crew into a network of neural processors, sort of a variation on the Beast in the Furturama movie.

No one told the Enterprise crew, but after Starfleet got wind of that event the ship became known as the USS Bukkake.

On the issue of the original question - I haven't seen any MLP, as don't look at any other forums anymore. I use to post on some rugby league sites, but I doubt they would be there.

About them here - they don't bother me anymore.

I wish to give a personal and heart-felt apology to MLP fans and the Bronies. This has been an awesome thread in so many ways. Truly, it is one of the best on these boards in a while. And although I am not a fan personally of the show, it was wrong of me to judge those who find much good from it. The comments from the fans here made me rethink my position. It's a show people enjoy and they should be allowed to share it's message with others.

Please accept my apology.

Besides, the naked Kirk/Spock bath avatar got no warnings or problems. And that was between two aliens, well to each other they are.

Oh, sex between aliens happened all the time on Star Trek, from TOS up to ENT, and not once was there a claim of bestiality as far as I can remember.

Maybe not bestiality, but VOY did anger a lot of fans who called Neelix a pedophile just because of Kes' age, not bothering to put it in context.
