My improv teacher was in Babylon 5!!

Yep - gift.

I also had to buy two copies of season four. I borrowed S4 from a friend and CLEARLY remember giving it back to him but he claims he does not have it and that I never gave it back. I was waiting for them to come on special for $29.95 before I would replace the one he damned well lost, as well as complete my own collection.

They are [Homer]nice and shiny[/Homer] on my shelf.

I've got S3-5 in the single 'book' form, but S1-2 are in the horrible cardboard thick fold out style cases.

If they ever came down low enough and I didn't have anything else to buy, I might consider replacing them so they all match.

I still haven't bought Crusade or the movies yet.

Wow, you too? I am going nuts, I want to find season sets that match for Babylon 5 in the way I found season one, and the 'single case' as I call it for Angel and Buffy, becuase I think they are cool, take up less room and just...bleh. I want things to match and can never find them anywhere. Hard to say what I rally mean or what the cases are, mostly because i should have been in bed like, four hours ago,

On topic, Jinxo was pretty awesome, I wish he was in Babylon Squared and War Without End.

I just recently bought a backup set in the original thicker casing. Unfortunately, my S2 volume had two of the cases come apart form the binding. Annoying yeah, but I can't swing the cost for anything else for awhile. Of greater concern was the disc in the S1 volume, where one episode just would not play on any player in the house, computer or otherwise.

Personally I'm holding out on replacing my tatty DVDs since I reckon the HD sets are likely to be released sometime in the next 5 - 8 years. I mean it's only a matter of time, right? Plus by then I would have probably given in and got myself a blu-ray player.
Having said that of course, attentive observers may note how I am in fact NOT holding my breath. ;)

You can get all of B5 and Crusade for about £50 ($82.50) in the UK.

I bought it to save shelf space. I gave my old sets away once I'd verified that the new discs worked.

:techman: I got that set for my birthday. The single cases for each season are really neat, although the teeth on some of the hubs have to be filed down a bit so you can get the discs off without snapping them. Much less bulky than The Complete Universe collection that they used to sell.

That's true -- you have to take a bit of care with those. Nowhere as bad as the first release DS9 box sets though.

I love Jinxo! That's so cool! He's one of the more memorable guest characters. The actor gave him a nice balance of innocence & gravity. Do congratulate him for us!

Incidentally, Grail aired on FX this evening, so you can tell him there might be another royalty check on the way. ;)
