My favorite thing about Voyager is...

Please, I wouldn't want to be accused of anything again but, read "... it was you who sent me an incendiary post" -> the two words are erroneously remained stuck, letting think to another word, which has a negative connotation (mean). it never or almost never took place, in french!.

What the fuck is going on? :cardie:

Quick, say something positive...

Doomed Clone Voyager! I liked the doomed Clone Voyager! Even made me feel sincerely bad for a Harry Kim!

I liked how they introduced the Holographic takeover program by the Maquis and that everyone treated it like a holonovel.

Again, sorry folks, to have brought you in my mini feud with Miss Lemon! :-)

Let's back to more interesting things, do you?!. :-)

The Holographic takeover program by the Maquis was an interesting storyline* but it would have deserved to be exploited not through a holographic program (which gave a too light tone, while the issue could have been potentially dangerous for Janeway and her Starfleet crew, ‎more than one level! -> besides, remember Janeway's speech to Equinox survivors "we welcomed you aboard, you took advantage of our trust. You betrayed this crew.") but in reality and above all, earlier, in the very first season, where the risk of a mutiny from Maquis was not only possible but highly expected, due to the position of.each crew and the tension created by the forced association ... . As a reminder, "Worst case scenario" was the 25th episode of season 3, while there was just one and unique crew. Anyway, if the situation have been really & rightly exploited, Worst case scenario" could have been a very important episode of the season 1.

And then, it began to show how the concept of holographic program, as a fantastic invention of 24th century by its modernity and useful it was, could become potentially dangerous in case of loss of control and/or when people with bad intentions, ‎took control of the program. And in this case, what was to be a means of distraction and a training tool, could become a weapon a double-edged sword. in simply remove the safety devices/security protocols. For ex, in Equinox, when the Equinox crew took control of Voyager's EMH, removing the part of its program which included the conscience. In Extrem Risk, when a traumatized B'Elena tried to put herself in near-suicidal danger. In Killing Games, with the violent holodeck simulations led by Hirogens
-> I don't know why but this idea often used in Voyager.

I kind of get where Miss Lemon was coming from, lol..

It's not so much the specifics but I think the thread was designed to share spontaneous and the most derided word 'positive' reflections. The critiquing tends to spoil that.

Oh Phooey I wasn't going to post anymore because of all the depressing negative threads.. but nice to see this thread in the sea of gloom and whining, lol.

Bravo .. and wow Thomas Eugene that was amazing.

My number one favorite aspect of the show is it makes me feel good watching it.

Some times you got to follow your original instincts, all of them.

Voyager is feel good and will always remain so for me :)

"Life's full of the ups and downs."

I like Threshold.

I'm not joking. It had Paris going so fast that he's in all places at once, spitting out his own rotten tongue (with surprisingly gory effects), and concludes with zombie-lizard Paris and Janeway devolving into salamanders so they can churn out a dozen salamander children.

It's so off the wall, that it loops around to fascinating. It's almost like one of TOS more bugfuck episodes found itself in the wrong decade. It's art.

I like it too, if it makes you feel less alone but each time I rewatch it (already 2 times), I just hold the lightly side (the last 5 minutes) and McNeil's superb performance.
It would have been amusing to revisit this episode in last seasons with Janeway and Paris facing their newly human offsprings through a holoprogram or dream led created by an alien malefic spirit. The reaction of Janeway & Paris would have been priceless... as B'Elena's one! :guffaw:
Hey, a little entertanment has never hurt and aired after a dramatic episode, it would have been nice!

The Doctor kept me coming back in the first 3 seasons, but after that Seven of Nine drove my favorite episodes, I just liked how she resonated in a completely different way than the rest of the crew. The Borg episodes that took place in the Delta Q were great viewing and essential Trek. And,... I kind of liked that they had to cook their own food, too.

Oh yeah and The Caretaker. The Voyager series premiere really holds up well over the years and I think it was a much better product than The Emissary and Encounter at Farpoint.

"Encounter at Farpoint" is not exactly a stellar bench mark, but I agree with your point about "Caretaker."

Heyyy, Threshold won a primetime Emmy Award!

Yeah, but that's all STrek ever wins or is nominated for. Stuff like Visual Effects, Costuming, make-up, and if they're really lucky, once in a blue moon, score.

What was quite disapointing, besides, especially knowing that Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny and varied actors/actresses for guest roles, won several accolades and wins (Emmies & Golden Globes among others) for X-Files, which was aired at the same time than Voyager, and o a cable channel (Fox Television).
For example, Mulgrew, Picardo, Ryan could have been nominated - and why not won - for their performances from s4 ; Beltran, McNeil and Philips for some episodes, for example (sorry not to have quoted Wang but well, I think the most of you will understand!).

Next Gen and TOS both snagged noms for 'Outstanding Drama', and Nimoy got one for acting.

Otherwise, the Hugo's are your best bet for bragging points,
