...is Hippocratic Oath.


Why?

Because it's an ethical question and both sides are argued for. You watch it actually wondering who is right, trying to decide and listening carefully to Bashir and O'Brien's arguments.

The side story is also pretty amusing, but only mildly.


So, what do you think? I was on Bashir's side.


P.S. I would usually write something more involved, but it's 1am and I still haven't finished my planned spring cleaning (I blame all of you!).

You are right, it's a truly great episode for exactly the reason you stated.

As for who's right, the best way I've seen it put was a by a prominent DS9 fans who said years ago about this very issue in this very episode pretty much the same thing that you've hit on:

"They are both right - that is why DS9 is such a great show!"
