My current fear

Is that this abomination of a show based on what I have seen so far will not only make me hate it, I would be concerned it will kill any future people from developing an interest in the past shows.

It was bad those alternate timeline movies sucked, but at least i could tell myself there were just that..movies and convince myself they had nothing to do with the canon trek, but this discovery so far looks atrocious.

Canon seems to be fucked out the window, after finally sorting some semblence to the change from the TOS klingons they went and screwed with that again.
Its like some tv writers who never saw an episode of star trek decided to rape the franchise.
My only hope now is not if it will be bad, but how bad will it be.

Right off the bat you're calling it an abomination. Maybe at least watch the first episode before throwing around words like that? I'm not too enthusiastic about a few of the design choices, but the show itself has the potential to be fantastic and we have no idea until we've actually seen it.

I love it.

We all have apprehension about new Star Trek burying the franchise, but there is a lot that could go right too - try not to judge until the series is out - logically we can't do anything about it now, so there is no point being stressed.

I really don't get how people can get so offended by a show which not only haven't they seen, but hasn't even been made yet.
