I think it looks AWESOME. And clearly, you know how to keep it up. So I say keep it. That would be my vote.
But then, I don't see beards as 'winter things'. If you really feel strongly about that, then the decision is already made, isn't it?
Well, I think that's why he keeps the Mary Poppins avatar. Sort of as a talisman against the universe dumping any hatred on him.

Maybe I'll do something with it over my 4-day weekend for Easter. That way I can have it back my the time I go back to work.
It is a good-looking beard. And it doesn't look too thick and hot for the summer. So I'd keep it.
But then, I can't grow a decent beard to save my life; I just look scruffy. My wife hates the full beard, but likes the goatee I've been wearing for the past year or two, despite the greying.
I don't understand the boredom part -- I don't want to have to make any hard (or drastic!) decisions first thing in the morning. It's not generally a good idea...
A couple of years ago, on a whim, I shaved my whole face. My daughters (then 8 & 10) had never seen me without at least a moustache. They teased me about how different I looked, and encouraged me to grow it back. I didn't like it either -- WHAT a babyface (not a good look for me).
Plus, it reminded me how much I HATE shaving my upper lip! So barring a drastic change of mind, the goatee is probably here for the long haul...
I have to keep my beard trimmed relatively short. The hair pattern shows a definite swing to the right when it's longer. Makes me look like I'm constantly walking in the wind...
Clam-beard, or beard-beard?
I used to have a full beard, but a few years ago I started shaving my cheeks. This style doesn't seem to have an official name, though I've seen it called an "extended goatee," a "tailback," and even a "Hollywoodian." (?)
I think this works better with my glasses than a full beard. And especially now that I've started shaving my head again. Full beard + glasses + shaved head = fake beard.

Seriously, that's what I've been thinking to do if I end up losing to much hair to keep it meaningful. Better a good shave than a comb-over, that's for sure.
By the way, nice suit. Love the tie-clip. The tie itself... well, let's not dwell on it.
