OK, I have to get this off my chest before I dare to post here again after what I did.
What I did a week ago insulted everybody here, the ethos of Star Trek and, ultimately, me in particular. My terrible "Ferengi and Jewish Stereotypes" thread was very badly written and in catatrophically bad taste, sick satire done far too bluntly and with very little wit. I do not see myself as a fire breathing dipshit from Stormfront.org,I find racism to be a sign of ignorance and incompetence.
And as a fan of DS9 I'm a total fool to overlook its strong anti-racist messages - the cruelty and xenophobia of the Cardassians eventually just gave them ashes, ""Far Beyond the Stars" is still very topical after ten years, and the ultimate folly of the Founders was to become as vindictive as the "solids" who launched pogroms against them.
I just like to clear things up and be accepted back here again. Thank you.
