My anti-perspirent works too well

Axe is the only antiperspirant/deodorant personally endorsed by Gimli, son of Glóin, and that dude was all about proper hygiene.

Now me, I think it's vile overpowering smelling shit, but I'm not a fat dwarf with a ZZ Top beard who wears nine layers of armor and clothing, so take that how you will.

Ahh, thank you for that. I was wondering what it was and thinking I shoukd get some, but now I know its Lynx, I'll not bother!

To be fair to the RoJoHen, he uses the roll-on, and I'm sure that is not as detectable as the spray. probably completely different, especially if you don't decide to swim in it like my neighbour does. I think he must spray it from head to toe...

Yeah, it's a lot less brutal than the spray.

And remember, the only reason I bought it at all was because it was on sale. ;)

My downstairs neighbour uses it's British brand name Lynx, and you can still smell the stuff in the hallway in the evening, even though he passed through in the morning.

Lynx is another name for Axe. I usually use Lynx, though I prefer to not use any anti-perspirant unless I really need it, knowing how they work. Blocking sweat glands with potentially toxic metals  No thanks.

I'm not saying its terrible you have it, just now I know what it is I don't need to look for it as I've tried it already.

50 % bicarb of soda, 50 % corn starch. Add some drops of tea tree oil for the anti-bacterial properties. There, you're done. A very good anti-perspirant.

Yep, I thought that's one I haven't tried before... glazed cherry on that, and we're probably good. :D

The other day I had to pick up some new deodorant, and I saw that the AXE sticks were on sale. 2 for $3. Not too shabby, considering the Old Spice I normally buy it about $4 for one. So I picked up the AXE stuff just to try it out, and I have to say, it works way too well.

It works so well that I cannot even remove it in the shower. It's waterproof or something. I have to scrub and rinse my armpits 3 times with soap before I can get it to come off! I mean, it's great because it's definitely keeping me dry when I sweat, but good lord.

Yeah, I tended to notice that. It's still not bad, though.

It's not the spray, which is godawful.

I use AXE and it's the only thing that works for me. No other anti-persperant comes close.

J.

Old Spice has worked fine for me all these decades. I'd rather not use something that doesn't come off-- kind of reminds me of Goldfinger. :wtf:

Yeah, I eh remember the time I tried out Lynx in school with my classmates... we used to hold a lighter in front of it, and scare the teachers with the massive flames...

Wow, and if you had gone to my school, you would have been automatically suspended and possibly arrested for attempted arson.
