Mulgrew was well cast

I wonder how Lucy Lawless would have done with role

Well, with the national pride and whatnot, she would have shifted the Penal colony next door to Australia and the planned relationship with paris from the getgo wouldn' have been stopped in the starting blocks at all, since 10 years later, she still looks younger than Tom Paris did back then in Caretaker.

but it would have been so cheesy for those of us who could make a comparrison that Hercules too got his own wannabee starship to pretend he was bad ass with.

Herc Vs Xena in space WHAT FUN :guffaw:

I think we would have come to love any actress they cast in the role.
We wouldn't have anybody else to compare them too.

Did you like Dalla's "impression" of Janeway in Live fast and prosper when she was pretending to be noble and starfleety?

I am a big fan of Kate Mulgrew and think she did a very good job with a relatively thankless role. And I agree with others here that it was the writing that was the problem with her character, not the acting.

Just out of curiosity, what happened to the T.V. series,"The Black Donnellys"?
It was hyped so much by NBC but did not last a full season. I never did know why it was yanked off so fast. Was it that bad?
Anyone even watch it? I haven't seen Mulgrew in anything since and didn't get the chance to watch her even in that.

I liked it but viewership wasn't very strong.

It is about time for a new LA Law movie.

Jimmy did some good work on Dexter last year.

Larry Finklestien? I was going to mention that the only possible reason that i would accept Muldar would be if she still played Puklaski and had her lover Kyle Riker in tow. Kyle might have been a dick, but the actor was magnificent week after week on Greg and Dharma.
