my 20 year old son went through a phase where he wore his hair long - his grandparents all bugged him about it and I told them if that was all he was up to then we were lucky. And we are. He cut if off when he found out how cute the girls at the salon I go to are - he's a religious customer now!

I kind of liked the long wavy locks - kind of the thing about someone you love so much you wish there was more of them! It made him look like the free spirit he really is.

I really feel bad for the OP.
They started this great post with good intentions only to have it go down hill.

..and none of it has anything to do with the actual topic.

Wow! I think he's the spit of his Mom! He looks like Janeway - with a beard

Most of my uncles have hair like that, it's ok they are still as normal as the rest of us underneath ;)

Kate's still looking great too. Of course.

Now, in the spirit of the original poster, and having a few minutes on my hands, I may follow the link in the article and find out what he's actually doing!!

Hum. Bit too much 'in your face' nudity for me ..... but still very talented and impressive.

And I can't see any reference at all to his famous mother on his own website, he's not using her to sell his stuff there.

Anyone who wants to see his exhibition is now going to have to fly to the bahamas - now there's a hardship! ;)

Ugh, free spirits.

Okay, that's enough trolling out of you. For the rest of you remember the old TrekBBS axiom not to feed the trolls. ;)

Oh, damn. :( This free spirit was gonna troll the troll... ;)

As to the show... I might check it out--if I can figure out a way to the hood via mass transit that won't get me shot... :p

He's just a lazy bohemian type living off his mother's Star-Trek wealth.
Nice of you to judge a persons content of character solely based on a photograph.

How ironic that most of our laws, art, music & literature were made by people who look just like him. Thousands of lazy people that managed to bring order and culture to the masses.

Star Trek wealth?:guffaw:

It's probably more accurate to say "Hollywood wealth".

You know, personally I like a guy clean cut myself, but this guy is nice looking. Who am I to judge based soley on his looks? Kate looks wonderful, BTW! She looks better now than she did in her Voyager years I think. :D In one way, I think he's attractive and in another way I'm thinking: man, get a hair cut and a shave for goodness sakes! But who am I to judge him soley based on appearance alone? He seems to be doing very well from what I have gathered so more power to him!
But Americans ALWAYS judge based on appearances alone and if you have long hair and a long beard like this guy does, you are 1) a beatnick-looking hippie that is always in tune with mother earth or for world peace 2) Aumish! or 3) Jewish! We have always judged people based on their appearances and will continue to do so for centuries to come, I think. :) And we can judge appearances on TBBS if we want to. It's a free country for pete's sake!

Yes, we can. But if we do, we certainly should expect to be called out on our superficiality. And we shouldn't expect other posters to still like us in spite of it. ;)

That's true, NCC-1701. Forgot to mention that in my previous post! Anyhow, her son seems to be doing great and I'm very happy for him and for her showing her support. A mom is supposed to show support to their children no matter what. :P

Exactly. I would do the same for my children (if I had ones). :)

Very true. That is how I looked at it too and exactly what I told my ex-husband too. I didn't have a problem with it, because that was basically it with him. The girls loved it and ironically, so did his female teachers. Some male teachers were jealous, even admitted it too. I love his hair too and he's had it long since he was 14. He's 20 now and he has no intention of cutting it either.

Some men actually want to grow their hair out for diverse reasons..and even though I prefer shorter hair on men, this style on this guy isn't so bad.

mine cut his when he realized what cute women worked at the salon I go to. He's a regular there now, too! :rommie:

But Americans ALWAYS judge based on appearances alone . . .

Americans only?? This is one of the most bigoted and untrue comments I have ever read. Even if it had been posted by an American.

Yeah, seriously. You realize there are many different kinds of people in America right? That is like saying "all Americans love pancakes" or something, absurd.

Hey, I'm from ZZ Top land, so I'm use to it.
Do you have legs and do you know how to use them because I'm a sharp dressed man looking to be your rough boy while you double back again, slip inside my sleeping bag and give me all your lovin'........all your hugs and kisses too.

Damn, where'd I put my cheap sunglasses?

*Raises eyebrow like Spock* Typical human male reaction. You know... On Betazed, women are dominate.
