Moving on Saturday; getting sad

Spent all day moving. I was so tired that I went to bed at 7pm.

Is it a bad sign that I spent the whole drive on the verge of crying, and now that I'm here, I can't help thinking that I've made a huge mistake?

This new job better not suck, otherwise I am in for a very depressing year.

Sounds like a standard move to me. You'll be fine dude. Hey, thanks to the internet, you can always keep in contact with your friends.

Tell me about it. I was not happy. Not only is it a great place, but I have lots of great memories from my youth associated with it. And I'm not someone who really moves on easily....

Sorry to hear that. :(
I can relate a little. My parents recently split up after 28 years of marriage and also gave up the house I grew up and lived most of my life in. It's not pretty. But at least I had the luck of having a great childhood in a place I dearly loved, is what I usually tell myself. Maybe that holds for you as well. :)

^^ Indeed. There are always the memories to ponder (and use for artistic inspiration). And I have pictures, of course.

Sorry to hear about your parents, though. A house doesn't mean much compared to that. :(
