Movies you want to see released on Blu-Ray

Solaris (2002)

I thought I was the only person in the world that liked this movie.

I doubt that. It is an interesting and well-crafted film. It just wasn't what was advertised or expected of a George Clooney vehicle produced by James Cameron, especially in 2002.

I would like to see The Right Stuff in high definition. Lots of others, I am sure, just none that I can think of at the moment.

I want Transformers The Movie (1986), the only "real" Transformers movie for me. I think that there was a limited release of it on BD overseas but not here. I'd also like to see this released on iTunes as well so that I can cart it around with me on my iPhone. I keep hoping that they release this (as well as it's full soundtrack/score) on BD every time there's a new live-action TF movie released in the theaters/home video but it hasn't happened yet, of course.
I wouldn't mind seeing a remastered BD release of the unaltered Star Wars OT as well and all of the SW movies on iTunes.

I enjoy occasionally watching the 02 SOLARIS myself.

As for RIGHT STUFF ... a high-def transfer is going to reveal a lot of strings and wires in the flying scenes, that's for sure.

I'd love to see LOOKING FOR MR GOODBAR on BR or even just DVD.

I'm hoping (maybe in vain) that they'll put Strange Days on Blu-Ray.

What are the chances of that happening?

A German Blu-ray Disc as released in 2009, and with ample special features no less. Given Kathryn Bigelow's renewed popularity, I think a release is likely in the U.S...eventually.

I would like Solaris (2002) on Blu-ray as well - however, I'd like the option of switching to SD for the scene featuring GC's bare arse. I don't need to see that in HD. In fact, I'd prefer it not to be visible at all, but I guess it was the director's intention that said butt be included.

Well, Looks like got one of my wishes. Rumors are that Shane is being scrubbed for a 60th anniversary disc this upcoming year. That's going to look wonderful.
