So, the release of the new Halloween reminded me that I hadn't seen any of the previous films all the way through, in an unedited for content way. Any bits of the franchise I've seen over the years has been via basic cable. I signed up for a free thirty day trial with Amazon Prime to watch the original films. I kinda hate how it goes back and forth between continuity, picking & choosing what it will use or what it will ignore, and that continued when I went to see the new one.
Logan Lucky wasn't as good as I had hoped, considering the cast & director.
Ron White's new standup special was okay.
I had to go to D/FW last week, and I went a day early, and spent the afternoon at the Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson for a three movie marathon. I used my birthday coupons, too, for a free popcorn during BftMT and free admission for Halloween, since it was the only non-matinee ticket price. That was a good day. I miss the Drafthouse.
Last Friday, I stayed in & watched movies on Hulu.
The Post is the 100th "new to me" movie of the year. Good movie, I liked it.
GN was kinda funny, but not great.
TMBU was okay, but I had hoped for more. Not sure what, just more, different, something.
And the Fluffy standup was pretty funny, too. Its an older one, but I hadn't watched it before.
