Most underated Star Wars character?

I figure those were his clothes originally. He left them in his closet that didn't get a chance to take them out after Han won the Falcon. You gotta think, he didn't just lose his ship in a bet. He lost his home.

Most underrated? There can be only one.

She effectively resisted Palpatine's efforts to subvert the Republic and senate.

When Obiwan and Yoda decided to go into hiding and give up, she endured and kept the light of freedom burning.

She mentored Leia Organa.

She was instrumental in founding the Rebel Alliance. And procuring the equipment it needed.

She led the Rebellion against impossible odds and destroyed two Deathstars and killed Palpatine.

She then founded a new Republic government

She then served as commander in chief of that Republic.

And then(and this is maybe the best part) stepped down and retired peacefully.

Who is this George Washington like figure of the Star Wars universe? A powerful Jedi Master? A hero of the Clone Wars? An ethical Seperatist general?

None of the above.

She is the esteemed senator from Chandrila, who was in Return of the Jedi for twenty-six seconds.

Mon Mothma.

Here's a look at the action figure of the costume, which is probably based on production photos.

Funny thing is it's from the same wave as the "Torture rack Han Solo" figure....

I was going to mention the action figure as well. because what I find interesting is that it is labeled "Smuggler's Outfit", which begs the question why there would be a dress code for smugglers. So much for doing your thing on the q.t. if your outfit immediately broadcasts your illicit profession, no?

Could be some kind of Corellian freighter pilot thing, but not totally sure about that. I just figured Lando didn't have many clothes to choose from at the end of ESB so he was wearing whatever was around.

Yeah. That would be rather silly. But in a universe where Jedi, who you'd think would want to work in secret, are immediately identified because of their robes that doesn't surprise me.

I think people made too much of this, to be honest. People in Star Wars tend to wear very classical looking clothes, and Han in particular wore very western looking clothes. Lando just happened to wear something similar when he was piloting the Falcon. So what?

Lando would be my first pick.

Though I think Mon Mothma is a good choice. Another would be Bail Organa.

I think he is underrated in the context of the EU. There remains a frequent reference to the "Big Three" that ignores Lando and his contributions to overthrowing the Empire. Granted he shows up every now and then in the books, but it seems almost criminal that EU writers can't find interesting things to do or make his involvement so superfluous (sp).
