I liked the idea of neck for the emergency separation possibilities the TNG writers were so in love with. lol
How does looking like a giant butt plug make sense?no question, the intrepid class. finally a design (apart from th defiant), that makes sense.
Apollo looked like a toy; so did the LM.I don't get those people who put the TOS E on the top of their list. It looks like a toy, even from the inside.
It's nice, and an interesting new take on the design. The Abramsprise.
While my favorite is the new Enterprise, I must admit that I agree with your statement. Voyager was intended to be smaller than the Galaxy class ships with a smaller crew. I think the design worked. Beauty is subjective, but as far as making sense... yes, it does. Intrepid class does look as though it would be more solid. Because it is a smaller ship there is no need for the saucer to separate.no question, the intrepid class. finally a design (apart from the defiant), that makes sense.

You_Guyz - please only post images that are hosted on your own site (such as photobucket, etc.)Seriously, these Enterprise era Vulcan ships made me want to orgasm.
Whenever I was watching Enterprise, I would pray Vulcans would pop up for some contrived reason just so I could see their beautiful ring ships.
Such beauty

The Tholian ships from "Enterprise" were also pretty cool.

They remind me a little of my personal all time favourite Sci-Fi ship - the Vorlon transport from "Babylon 5".

the struts between fuselage and nacelles are solid. the broomsticks that connect the parts of the constitution class etc don't look thrustworthy. more like the nacelles flying off alone when the helm feeds gas. that's awesome forces to accelerate a million ton ship from zero to 1/4 impulse (lightspeed), or to be hit by torpedoes. the borg vessels have the most reasonable design.
