most annoying tv character in history

The cook on M*A*S*H. He only had a couple of appearances, but in them, they tried to force-feed us this everyman whose forced to deal with the whiny medics. No, his cooking did stink, as did his attitude, and I don't care about their homefront salaries, my sympathies were still with Hawk, Beej, Charles, etc.

The cast of 'Dear John' (US version). Most shows like this are about a group of lovable losers (Taxi, Cheers, Wings) who run in place. This show was about a group of human doormats whose fortunes actually declined every week, led off by Judd Hirsch, who I can usually watch in anything. The really sad part? If you read the IMDB on the actors involved, all of them are like astoundingly good and experienced actors, especially Jere Burns and Harry Groener.

Lastly, Mrs. Oleson from Little House On The Prairie. Why her husband or the town didn't arrange an accident for this creature astounds me.

Two characters I can't stand

1) Keiko O'Brien - so whiny
2) Kes from Voyager - far too sickly sweet for me

I have nothing against the actresses that played them however.

Rodney on SGA is starting to annoy the hell out of me. It's like Wesley and Dr. Smith had a nerdy love child.

To say something entirely heretic:

I didn't mind Byron that much. He's certainly not my favorite, but I never could understand the hatred either.

For a long time I held a huge grudge against Marcus, but the last few times I watched B5 I slowly started to appreciate him as well. For me, the most annoying character on Babylon 5 is probably Vir. Ah, and John Schuck's Draal sucked... especially when compared with Louis Turenne's Draal from Season 1.

Sheppard, Teyla and Ronin from Atlantis.

Pretty much most of the cast of Voyager and Enterprise, nearly every Klingon and Ferengi.

Catherine Fucking Tate, get off the TV you ugly annoying hag. Same for nearly every "funny person" on British television.

Well, I agree with the Byron concept. The problem being, had they not had to rush to finish the Earth Civil War and Shadow War in Season 4, then the Telepath storyline could have been stretched out more, maybe portions in season 4 and the rest in season 5, having them together was a bit grating.

I can't stand the Rizzo character. He ran the motor pool and they used him more and more in the last few seasons when the show got so lame except for the rare meaningful episode.

SGA: Rodney, Ronan and Shepherd. I only watch the Connor Trinneer episodes. My sis calls Shepherd and Ronan "Treetrunk 1" & "Treetrunk 2" due to their complete lack of emotion and talent.

ER: Dr. Morris, the red-headed twerp

Friends: Ross

Seinfeld: all of them

In general, any character where the actor chews the scenery, I hate that.

And, really, who else COULD it be? This guy ruined Scooby Doo! Just came in and ruined it! Scrappy is the Yoko Ono of Saturday morning cartoons. I can't even talk about it anymore. It's too upsetting.

That was the first one that came to my mind. Couldn't stand her.

My other nomination would be Peter Petrelli from Heroes. He's all powerful but my god he's such an idiot. Use your powers to make ensure the guy you've just met and who has a really evil smile and dubious motives, don't just do whatever he says!!!
