Morons... utter morons...

The video game specialty chains are horrible when it comes to pitching and pitching and pitching and even more pitching. If I go in to buy a game and nothing else, I don't want to be pitched on your annual membership and what I'll supposedly be saving, I don't want the game warranty, if I wanted to buy it used (where they make the most money because of the difference between how much they bought it for and the markup price) I would've asked for it used. And when I say no, once should be enough. I shouldn't have to say no five times to each of the above-mentioned pitches.

Granted, a lot of this is because of how poorly the suits run these chains, demanding quotas from their employees otherwise they're fired.

In an unrelated story, a few years ago I bought a video game at a big huge chain store that sold electronics, groceries, furniture, the works. It was on sale someplace else a couple weeks later so I went to get the difference back. The girl at the return desk didn't know how to handle it and called in some middle management suit. He claimed that they only price matched at the time of purchase and not afterward. Either he was just being an ass or he was completely incompetent, but I left and simply got the price match done at another store.

However, their policy in the electronics department is that if you see something you bought for less someplace else within 30 days of purchase, you can get a price adjustment. And there's a big freaking sign in the electronics department that said that. I wish I had known so I could shove it in the jackass's face.
