More TOS engine room pics

Please do you dont need my perssion lol. I don't think it fits the aesthetic but that's just my opinion.

I agree - it just doesn’t look as much like an Avanti as something from a few years earlier, which it is. That’s why I could see all three operating at a shipyard. The workbee we saw in TMP (that I assume is even older, maybe early 2220s), the Levacar workbee leftover from Pike’s era, and Probert’s bee that IMO evokes Kellogg’s shuttlecraft aesthetic.

Perhaps a few well placed lights so the operator can see what their working on/handling in the dark?

Over all, me likey! :bolian:

I love it! The little curled-inward bits at the top nicely echo the class F shuttlecraft, and I dig the color scheme! :techman:

My only complaint is completely unrelated to your artwork (well, mostly): find a better image host! Flickr is the worst when you’re trying to view images on an iPhone. :angryrazz:

Thanks for the comments guys. I will edit the Shuttle lift today, then I will need to find out what deck the Shuttlebay is on and how I going to plan the corridors and lift routes to get there. Then I will post a video update, which will be the biggest yet.

Your workbee looks great overall but I'd recommend dropping the RCS boxes on the corners. Your shuttle doesn't have any so i don't see any reason for a contemporary craft like your workbee to have them as well. If your workbee was seen by itself it would appear more 1960s and less 2260s with those RCS boxes.

^I agree, and would further suggest making the frame that separates the front and side windows a little bit pronounced to evoke the continuation of the “rolled top” forward on the shuttlecraft.

Your design is growing on me. Nice work. I particularly like the way you subtly integrated the tail light detail from the Levacar into the grabber arm. Very cool.

I like these little critters! There's just enough detail on the exterior to make them believable without being too greebly

Excellent work! I think they stopped using black and yellow striped caution tape circa 2100...

Just thaught I would upload these, inbetween installing more hardware on my pc and intergrating the shuttle bay into the main project. I have ported the bridge over to Ue5 and using Lumin instead I deleted all the dynamic lighting. So these sceenes are light only by the emissive dome above the bridge. I am quite impressed, the only material I would have to edit is the oblong lights under each console.

I like to think of that dome as a kind of smart glass (electrochromic or dynamic but even more capable) that can act as a light as you have shown, but on command can become transparent to space, or be augmented with displays overlaid on the exterior view. It would be interesting to see the ways the bridge could be lit under those circumstances.

RE: Work Bee ... I envision something that has a slide / flip-up canopy rather than a walk-in door.

Very cool art / design, otherwise.
