More ENT nods?

As an ENT fan, I hope there are more nods to the series in Star Trek XII in addition to the three in the last movie (the mention of Melvaran mud fleas, Admiral Archer, and Archer's prized beagle). Being the only Star Trek series completely intact in both the prime universe and the Abrams universe, it would be fitting and a cool thing...at least to ENT fans. :)

^In Alan Dean Foster's novelization of the movie, he did.

I'd love to see a Xindi serving on the Enterprise. Theirs was an epic storyline. A Reptillian redshirt or Arboreal working in engineering would be very cool.

Of course, most awesome would be a cameo by Scott Bakula as Admiral Archer, without any ageing makeup, and Matt Winston as his unnamed aide - ENT fans would know just by Daniels presence that Archer was probably on another mission through time (cue tie-in comic book) but regular moviegoers/non-ENT fans would just see an admiral giving out orders and his assistant following him around. The awkward moment when he spots Scotty out of exile and on the Enterprise would be fun.

Word of God has it that the prize beagle will materialise at the end of the last film JJ directs...

I'm hoping to see Archer. Why would they even write him or the beagle into the script if they didn't plan to have either in the next movie?

Just a wee nod to the fans...he'd be 140 in the films...so I think if we see him it'll be as a ghost!

KingDaniel and Teacake, those are really cool ideas...very subtle and just a normal extra to most people except for ones who know all about Daniels. Awesome ideas. Or how about a random beagle looking a bit confused somewhere?

The ultimate would be Scott Bakula making a cameo a la De Kelley in "Encounter at Farpoint." That's a long shot, but if he shows up in the Chuck series finale tomorrow night--which is not expected at all but you never know--then anything is possible.

I'd like to see T'Pau make a brief appearance, assuming that she was one of the Vulcans evacuated before the planet imploded, or perhaps she was off-world at the time. They could age Kara Zediker to a degree without having to make her look completely ancient (the ENT novels indicate she's fairly young at the time of the war, younger than T'Pol).

Even more cool would be to see the NX-01 floating in a Starfleet museum.

:techman:

In the recently released issue of the ongoing comic, they have an NX class ship as a hologram in young Kirks bedroom in Iowa shortly after crashing the car in the ravine. Not sure if it was Enterprise or one of the other ships in that class.

Having Scott Bakula in the movie would be awesome. Most likely won't happen but it'd be awesome. I wouldn't mind seeing some Denobulans or even Phlox himself. T'Pol also.

I can see it now. A major battle is going on. Red Alerts all over the place. People are dieing all around Kirk and crew. And just when all hope is lost, there is a brilliant flash of light........and a beagle appears on the helm and navigator station. :guffaw:

I think it says NX-01

It does say NX-01 and it also says Enterprise. Another hint maybe?

Like I said, I'd love to see the real deal floating around in a SF shipyard or orbital museum. It doesn't really seem to be that far-fetched, considering the drop of Archer's name and his beagle in ST09.

I was a big fan of Enterprise and enjoyed the winks as well. That said, I doubt we'll actually see Admiral Archer in a future movie.

So is DS9 the only Trek series that hasn't been mentioned in one of the movies? Or was there some reference to it in one of the TNG films?

Quark even had a cameo in Insurrection, which was cut.

I think the silent barfly between Kirk and Uhura was a nice nod to DS9's Morn. And, although an invention of TNG, Uhura's "Cardassian Sunrise" counts as a DS9 reference.

That could be cool. I am down with that.
