I'm no expert but one would think that the Military (the folks with the Billions in the bank) would be the ones developing new tech and loaning it to the CIA/spy organizations.

Super secret my ass. Amanda even knows about them. :)

I just want to know more about Control and if it’s like the novel version. If so they should get Martin Sheen to voice it.

See, I kinda like this version of Section31, as the article describes it; basicly the CIA. But supersecret?? Everyone seems to know about them. Doesn't seem supersecret to me. It would have worked better if they just went with SI; Starfleet Intelligence.

I got the impression that, by using the CIA analogy, they were saying that it's the specific nature of their work that is super-secret, not their existence.

By the time of DS9, even the name section 31 is super secret, and from his interviews, Kurtzman seems to understand that there is a discontinuity there, and that something needs to happen to explain that change.

I'm intrigued to see what they come up with. :)

Well, ok, that's an interesting avenue to explore. However, the impression I got from Section31 in DS9 and ENT is that they ALWAYS were as deeply buried as they were in those shows. Now, I'm not a continuetynazi. I don't give a ratsass if some things are changed. It's just quite a different take on what we know. So yeah, curious about what will happen. Hell, I actually love what they're doing with the Klingons in this show.

And that last comment means I should be probably go into witness protection or something like that......

I think by the end of this season or next season they'll be disavowed and forced underground because of something they did, or will do.

Might be related to whatever happened to Burnham's parents
