If reality is rebuilt, what is the status of the Timelords, Daleks, Cybermen, etc? Also, is it just me thinking this or did the Time War actually start when Doctor #4 was sent by the Timelords to destroy the Daleks in "Genesis of the Daleks"?

^ But the Cybermen in TPO were blathering on about "all realities" being deleted, which would lend to them being the AU ones.
As much as I want to see the Mondasians return.
Well one possible explanation for the M-Cybermen for looking like the C-Cybermen is that the Mondas cybermen scanned, captured, what have you one of the Cybermen from Pete's world and began upgrading themselves to a newer more powerful form. Also we would have to wonder why the Mondasian Cybs look like Cybus Cybermen. Which they were, naturally. That much was obvious. Moffat might have wanted an original Cyberman in there, but I doubt marketing would have any of that. Too much money spent on the redesign. No way they're dragging out the old costumes or commissioning a new redesign of the Mondasians...

They were meant to be Mondas (or Telos) Cybermen; there wasn't money in the budget, though, to realize them.^ But the Cybermen in TPO were blathering on about "all realities" being deleted, which would lend to them being the AU ones.

(TV Tropes claims that Moffat has said that it was the Mondas Cybermen in "The Pandorica Opens," but I haven't gotten confirmation of that.)

(There has to be some fanfilm group that had half-decent Old School Cybermen costumes, though, that the production could have borrowed.

If Doctor Who starts using those ridiculous old "man-in-aluminum-shirt" costumes from DW TOS, everybody will be too busy laughing to take anything on it seriously at all.

Sure. I can accept a variety of "explanations" to explain it as Mondasian Cybermen. But, as they say, the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. They look like Cybusmen. They sound like Cybusmen. Thus, I have to assume that they, in fact, were Cybusmen...
