Moffat discusses the regeneration limit

here is a blast from the past.. a clip from the planet of the spiders..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snl6LqFrr1A&feature=channel

the 3rd regens into the fourth..

what is the deal with the nerdy gnome/monk?? he has the power to speed up the regen process??

He's not a Gnome he was a Time Lord, one of the Doctor's mentors K'anpo Rimpoche.

This story includes the character of K'anpo Rimpoche, the previously unnamed Time Lord hermit from the Doctor's childhood, first mentioned in The Time Monster. K'anpo has the power to travel through time without the use of a TARDIS, to make a corporeal projection of a potential future incarnation (Cho-Je) of himself, and to stimulate the regeneration process of another Time Lord. K'anpo was referenced again in the Fourth Doctor serial State of Decay as the man who told the Doctor about the legends of the Great Vampires.

Maybe it's Jeff! Maybe he didn't erase his internet history, but USED his position to become an ALL POWERFUL GODLIKE BEING! Jeff and his strangely protrusive forehead-vein = The Silence!

You heard it here first...

Damn. This guy is a badass. Talk about perfecting your Time Lord abilities. He could have gone up against Rassilon, himself. There's no way he snuffed it in The Time War...

He was much older than the Doctor, no doubt he died of old age long before the Time War started.

I still say that Smith (11) is now the 1st Doctor in the newly rebuilt reality. My pet theory aside, I figure that they'll just hand-wave it with some silly little one liner and move on with the character.

As for the mystery of "The Voice":

1) (pet theory time again), I think it's Doctor 10.5, who may or may not be the Valeyard. Basically, he's hit the end of his hybrid lifespan and sure as hell isn't going to go out without a fight or taking everyone with him.

2) Another thought: It's Timelord Victorious. The 10th doctor's "title" at the end of "Water Of Mars" given life by the violent nature of his regeneration into 11.

3) And way out there theory: It's the TARDIS.

Omega is still me guess since he's one of the few beings who could survive the end of the Universe.

Wasn't Omega banished to the void ?

And the cracks were the result of the TARDIS being manipulated to create those cracks.

And some of those cracks led into the void.

Who other than Omega could manipulate a TARDIS ? Or create a proto-TARDIS (the Lodger).

Any form or version of 10 coming back is the biggest load of fanwank I've ever heard.
Not necessarily, it could be probably done in such as way as to work and not be completely wank-a-riffic.

Now I will say that (and I am a Tennant fan saying this) I don't want David coming back. Not because I don't like his doctor (I think it'd be geeky-cool to get 9,10, & 11 in 3 Doctor's story), I do. But because I think that with him reprising the 10th Doctor as a villain, they'd throw to much focus on the fact that David was back and not the story itself.

They can bring back 10, but they'll need to make it a variant of him. A energy form, a decrepit, rotted hulk of a old 10.5. Just something that would let them recast the role.

hmmm...maybe I need to get back into writing fanfic

Beevers actually still does the decayed master for Big Finish (Basically the explanation is that the Tremas/Ainley body 'wore off').

I still think that the voice was the Dream Lord from "Amy's Choice." I can't really pin that on anything in particular. It's just a feeling. (But I trust my feelings, especially since I think I was just about the only one to figure out that it was a baby that shot Mr. Burns.)

Just for the record, Omega was turned into anti-matter and should be existing in the anti-matter universe.
