Moffat confirms historical figure in 5 (spoilers)

So this'll be the first new series historical figure who wasn't a famous writer.
You're forgetting Queen Victoria in "Tooth and Claw."

Would even be better is if Brendan Gleeson was playing Chuchill again as he did in the recent HBO movie. Then again Brendan in any Doctor Who role would be brilliant!
I still haven't seen Into the Storm yet. Was he that much better than Albert Finney in The Gathering Storm?

Damnit, you had me going! From the Main Index, all I saw is "Moffat confirms historical" and I got all excited! :(
You've got more chance of dancing on custard than of a pure historical episode of Doctor Who in the future.
LALALALA...I can't hear you!!!

Personally, I'd also like an entire series where none or almost none of it happens on earth.
That's another big wish of mine. That and a companion who is either a non-contemporary human or an alien.

Queen Victoria? Madame de Pompadour? Queen Elizabeth I?

Okay, so the first who wasn't a famous writer or royalty.

Madame de Pompadour wasn't royalty, just the King's official mistress. ;)

Personally, I like the fact that the show's been making it a point to expose children to classic authors of the past.
