I like that...a nice change from 10...I wanted to see an "older" Doctor inside the younger body...and the outfit fits the "professorial" idea too...

I like that...a nice change from 10...I wanted to see an "older" Doctor inside the younger body...and the outfit fits the "professorial" idea too...

Agreed. I like the contrast they seem to be going for there.

And I also love the quote from Moffat describing the overall tone of the next series as like a "dark fairytale". As much as I love the fun and wackiness of the RTD era, I do think it's time for a slight change in tone.

Wasn't there a rumour back in the summer that Churchill would appear an a Dalek episode?

Since Churchill is now confirmed, I wonder if the Dalek part will also turn out true?

As much as I love the fun and wackiness of the RTD era, I do think it's time for a slight change in tone.

Boy thats a bit of an understatement. I don't think the shows changed this much since Pertwee's first episode.

Oh, thank god. I think I've had enough of RTD's ADHD era of Doctor Who. It was fun for what it was, but it's time for something different.

Certainly, but I thought it was interesting that even though the historical figure is not a writer, he's still someone whose writings have been widely acclaimed.
