I milked the double XP pretty good. I had finished up my first prestige, but once I realized there was double XP I couldn't just let it all go to waste, so I did the second prestige. That star icon is much better than the first prestige one anyway. I don't remember what level I ended up at. Somewhere in the low 60s, about 1.9 to 2.0 million XP from Tuesday to Sunday!
Also it's the first time I've unlocked all the Pro level perks. SitRep Pro is actually freaking awesome, but god knows it took waaay too much time hunting claymores to unlock. I need to get some headphones so I can locate the sounds a little better, but it's even more blatant than when someone tries to sneak up with you with Scrambler!
I think this was the first time I ever unlocked every attachment for a weapon, M4A1. Getting all those bullet penetration kills is ridiculously annoying.
I also developed a healthy enjoyment of Demolition from the variety stimulus playlist. HQ and Sabotage kind of blow though. People play S&D in retarded fashion. Lots of times the attacking team will refuse to even attempt to plant
.
After all that concentrated playing, it reiterated my dislike of the Commando Pro super lunges. It's ridiculous. I also hate being knifed through walls, and come on, if I shoot a guy 3 times before he gets to me with his knife, it should at least interrupt the stupid animation. It's bad enough that they don't have to aim, and I don't have to be on their screen. What were they thinking?
I had quite a bit of fun with my Marathon/Lightweight silenced UMP. But knife 'tards and shotguns really screw up SMGs' usefulness. They really should've made the shotguns a primary weapon. It sucks that unless you bust out the shotgun yourself, you're actually at a disadvantage in close quarters against a sniper. And it's not like there's a great long range secondary that an SMG user can use to counter snipe across the map
And people that camp the top of staircases with shotguns are the lowest of the low. What, it's not enough to camp around a corner?
