Modern Warfare2 General Thread

Got into a FFA on rust!!! That is freaking awesome. At first I though we were on teams b/c of the green icon and got myself killed. Then I realized WTF was going on, I grabbed a LMG and hip sprayed everywhere. So much fun!

Probably not playing defensively enough. When you spawn. Hang back a bit. gather your sights. When you move, look for a spot for cover. scope in for a bit then move a bit. Gather your wits and move again. Don't rambo it out, you'll probably get slaughtered. Better yet, don't run at all. 30% of my kills are because people are running and can't get their gun sights up fast enough. Play a lot of FFA. and watch videos like this guy

He plays mad defensive gaming and this style netted me my first nuke.

There is little defence for spawning in somebody's gunsights.

Um, you have poor luck. I can count on one hand how many times I've been instantly spawn killed.

than you hae never been on the wrong end of a chopper gunner on an open map
 
Uggh.. I hate having acogs on sniper rifles. pretty stupid to have them, as I can't get get close enough to kill and far enough to snipe.

keep your eye down the scope, pick a mid-range map and remember "only 20 kills to thermal"

I think with the models you need to play CQB styles, which is quite difficult given the range of assault rifles. I would try to stick to the edges of the map. BTW, anybody else find the prestige is just set too high?

To Prestige = 2350k XP (http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Cal...arfare_2_ranks)
Each game ~ 10k XP <-- this to me is a very good score might be a bit too aggressive but you can get challenges etc..

Total games needed to play to prestige ~ 235. Each game = .25 hours. You need to play about 60 hours. 10 Prestige = 600 hours or about 25 gaming days.

Like WTF... even if you get say 20k XP a game you need 13 hours of gaming!! That is way too much to be devoted to a game.

Prestige is pretty much "I don't have a life mode", no offense. That shit just gets longer and longer because it's there for people who are absolutely obsessed with the game. They play for 'only' 60 hours and then the little number in the corner stops going up... it's horrifying to them :)

Prestige mode is actually pretty smart, because for the less obsessed, level 70 is a difficult enough and satisfying goal, and you don't really lose much compared to someone doing prestige. You don't get the prestige icon to show just how awesome you are, and you have what... one less custom class slot? Big whoop!

Anyway, FAMAS red dot + Sleight of Hand + Stopping Power + Steady Aim is actually pretty damn potent... I'm starting to win some of those 1 on 4 gunfights that I could always pull off in COD4 but never in MW2. FAMAS feels like it has more power than the M16 in this game. But man, do I hate dying to people that hunt me on the minimap. Sucks having no Stinger at the moment to help against the kill streaks though... I always seem to get the team that loses 10,000 to 3,500 where nobody is willing to do any anti air :rolleyes:
 
My game is slowing coming around, but I'm never going to be "good", maybe something slighly better than "bloody awful." :lol: I'm starting to really fall in love with the Spas. It's pretty much becoming my weapon of choice and I'm slowly getting better at close quarters combat using it. I still suck, but I suck a little less now.

I prestiged too!!! But I boosted :alienblush: But yeah it sucks not being able to take out air as easily. I try to huck a nade and swtich out to my anti air but then I realize I don't have cold blooded so i end up dying again too.
 
Today i got the 1st one(COD4:MW.GOTYE) together with Bad Company 1, both for PS3...
My first 2 realistic modern FPS games...
Although i do have Ghost Recon for PC, got it for free with my 3d-card, but i didn't like that one so much...
Bad company reminds me a bit of Army Of Two with the humour and stuff...
