Yep. I'd like to see another Apple/Pie adventure with family this season. It's fun to see them interact with one another.

It wasn't an earth-shattering episode, but IMO it wasn't meant to be. No giant monster threat means the stakes, deadly as they were (It's ponies versus CANADA!!) didn't have the same weight as an actual physical threat personified. Still, I did like the expansion of the family and the mythos, and actually having the whole Sparkle family united AND speaking, however briefly.
Still not completely sold on Starlight. I know why she was added, but it stole a lot of focus form the Mane 6, which is still what I think most of us want to see.

Yeah, Fimfic is ripping her apart after the premiere. Equestria Daily's poll ahead of the finale last year showed about a 70/30 split for her not being reformed. It was real fuckup to include her again, nevermind paste her into the opening credits after how long it took to get Luna and Zecora there.
^I think we need to see how she integrates into Ponyville. And Discord got added into the opening credits in Season 4, if you'll remember. And it's certainly arguable that he isn't nearly as reformed as Fluttershy would like to think. And how Starlight was in the premiere tells me she's working on things. She knew how to avoid things and in a sneaky way...
A thirty seconds long snippet from episode three has been posted and while the commenters on Equestria Daily are debating the pros and cons of Maud Pie I'm only concerned about finding out who pony Joan's (from Mad Men) love interest is. They float by on a boat during the scene. Is it meant to be someone from the show? I can't be the only one obsessed with the Mad Men ponies, can I?
