Episode Title: "Flight to the Finish"
Air Date: Dec. 14th, 2013

Summary: "Rainbow Dash is over the moon to be coaching the young ponies in Scootaloo’s class for their competition to carry the flag at the upcoming Equestria Games. Just as the Cutie Mark Crusaders find their rhythm, Diamond Tiara‘s taunting becomes too much to handle and Scootaloo begins to doubt herself and her team."

Also YES. I have been looking forward to this ever since the idea that there "might" be a Scootaloo-centric episode in s4 was leaked, what, like a year ago? :lol: Can't wait!
 
For some reason, I thought your birthday was in February. I've had this notion that you were only a couple of weeks older than I. Now I feel stupid.

And yay for Scootaloo! I've missed the CMC.

Harshwhinney is back, never could stand her but RD is making up for it. Snips and Snails finally get their appearance this season, don't think we really saw them outside of the Trixie episode last year.
 
Glad to know I'm not the only one watching! I like the song and the visuals that went with it! Studio DHX has really brought its game up.
 
Well we got our first song and it's great, another CMC song.

Horses do exist, so that would explain the Saddle Arabians.

Snowflake is back.

Dash is getting a lot of great scenes this episode too.

And yeah, confirmed Scoots can't fly, DT and SS really have no redeeming features at all.

But...Dash mentions carrying the flag when she was a filly, but as we saw, Cloudsdale didn't get the Games. Unless Cloudsdale Elementary students were part of the this scheme too in the day and she carried it for another nation.
 
^Probably the latter. I remember Lauren saying somewhere that Silver Spoon would be better if she'd had another friend. She needs to ditch DT bad!

Annnd Scootaloo does have a house, and presumably parents living there too, there goes about 1000 fanfics. :lol:

Cloudsdale would have competed. The CMCs are carrying Ponyville's flag at the Crystal Empire, after all.

That was a great episode. Loved the song, and the animation that went with it (especially the gag at the end). Would have liked a bit of Mane 6, but I guess that would have taken time away from a good storyline.
 
Figures I sleep in the weekend that Xyro is sick and not uploading the episode to YouTube. :p

Finally found a place to watch it. It was...fine, I guess. The best parts were Mr.s Harshwhinny being a dick, and them actually bringing up Scootaloo not being able to fly. Still, I feel like they wussed out at the end by leaving the door open for her maybe-flying-someday-slash-maybe-not. And I couldn't give less of a fuck about the Equestria Games or the Crystal fucking Empire.

I dunno. Maybe it's me, but ever since season 3 (or thereabouts) these bog-standard kid's-show-type episodes have been wearing thin. It just feels like they can't commit to anything truly interesting.

I'll be in the corner, rocking back and forth and reminding myself of the great trio of episodes that started the season. I want the season arc back sooner rather than later, please.
